Bolnavii vor primi asistenţă medicală prin intermediul telefonului mobil

Bolnavii de tuberculoză, HIV/SIDA , dar şi femeile gravide şi sau cele care abia au nascut vor primi asistenţă medicală prin intermediul telefonului mobil. Prin mesaje, pacienţii vor fi ghidaţi cum să se îngrijească şi cum să-şi administreze tratamentul.


La Comrat s-a deschis un Centru Social Regional

La 22 noiembrie, la Comrat, a avut loc inaugurarea oficială a Centrului Social Regional „Împreună pentru viaţă”, al treilea centru deschis pe parcursul anului current. Scopul centrului este de a îmbunătăţi calitatea vieţii şi aderenţa la tratamentul antiretroviral (ARV) al persoanelor cu HIV/SIDA, precum şi de a oferi oportunităţi mai bune pentru incluziunea socială a acestor persoane şi membrilor familiei lor.


Procedura de procurare a medicamentelor ARV pentru anul 2013 a fost încheiată

La sfârşitul lunii noiembrie curent, Unitatea de Coordonare, Implementare şi Monitorizare a Proiectului de Restructurare a Sistemului Sănătăţii (UCIMP RSS) a încheiat procedura de procurare a medicamentelor antiretrovirale (ARV) pentru anul 2013.

Statistică dureroasă

Pe parcursul  a zece luni 2012, în Republica Moldova,  au fost înregistrate 602 cazuri noi de infectare cu HIV, inclusiv 216 - în teritoriile de est ale republicii. Din numărul infectaţilor, 292 sunt bărbaţi şi 310 – femei, predominantă rămânând calea heterosexuală de transmitere a infecţiei. Statistică de rutină, veţi spune. Sigur, dar una care  ar trebui să ne alarmeze sau cel puţin să ne pună pe gânduri.

UNAIDS reports a more than 50% drop in new HIV infections across 25 countries

A new World AIDS Day report: Results, by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), shows that unprecedented acceleration in the AIDS response is producing results for people. The report shows that a more than 50% reduction in the rate of new HIV infections has been achieved across 25 low- and middle-income countries––more than half in Africa, the region most affected by HIV.

NATIONAL FILM COMPETITION „1 minute on HIV/AIDS”

National Film Competition “1 minute on HIV/AIDS” on the occasion of World AIDS Day is organized by the Ministry of Education, Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS in Moldova, NGO „Positive initiative” and YouBeSC film.

International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day

Every year on the third Sunday of May, worldwide is marked International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day. The purpose of this day is to commemorate people who have died from AIDS, and to attract, once again, the attention of the whole society on this public health priority issue and to launch a call for solidarity with those more then 7000 HIV infected persons in Moldova.

The United Nations in the Republic of Moldova launched today the 8th edition of the competition for the best action to promote and protect human rights. The competition, organized each year, aims to highlight and award the most valuable initiatives and actions by civil society organizations and journalists to protect and promote human rights in Moldova.


RFQ: Multiplication of DVDs and Printing of Booklets

Based on the collaboration agreement of 07.07.2011 between UNAIDS and Ministry of Education it was decided to adjust a distant learning course for youth to the open software package Moodle and to launch it on internet, DVD and mobile base.
Thus, it is necessary to subcontract a company to multiply the DVDs, during the fact that there are 1489 schools. 


Young People of Moldova Explore New Approaches in HIV prevention

The project was designed to provide a new impetus to HIV prevention among adolescents and young people by young people themselves. Therefore, the emphasis was made on mobilization of partnerships among youth and student organizations of the Republic. The project was implemented by the Centre Dacia in close cooperation with the National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO and the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Moldova and was supported by the UNESCO Officein Moscow.

Each year on 7 April, we observe World Health Day to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948.  This year’s theme, "Good health adds life to years", conveys an important message: promoting good health throughout life improves one’s chances of remaining healthy and productive in one’s later years.

Over the past year, the winds of change have swept across the globe. Citizens by the millions have voiced their discontent around similar themes: inequality, corruption, repression and the absence of decent work.  At the heart of this mass mobilization lies a call for social justice. 


Recruitment of an IT specialist for developing of a distant learning course for youth based on the school

An IT specialist will be recruited for a long-term period with the overall goal to develop the course on internet, CD and mobile based. The IT specialist will be responsible for adjustment of the approved curricula to the open source software package Moodles, develop the design of the site and the security system of this project, after the implementation of the project to monitor the statistic situation of exploring this course by students.


The United Nations and the Government of the Republic of Moldova signed a new programme of cooperation

The United Nations and the Government of the Republic of Moldova signed today a US$ 217 million development and assistance programme for the years 2013-2017. The new programme of cooperation, “Towards Unity in Action: United Nations-Republic of Moldova Partnership Framework”, supports Moldova’s priorities and development challenges in three priority areas: (1) democratic governance, justice, equality and human rights; (2) human development and social inclusion; and (3) environment, climate change and disaster risk management. 


National consultancy for support and supervision of Regional Social Centers for PLHIV

PAS Center is currently implementing the “Reducing HIV-related burden in the Republic of Moldova” Project, financed by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the support and supervision of Regional Social Centers for PLHIV. The PAS Center now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services.

For the first time during 2011, Moldova has the mandate for representing Constituency Group of Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Global Fund. This group includes 23 countries, of which all except Turkey, were part of the socialist bloc (ex, Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, etc.).
