HIV vaccine trial approved by FDA

A vaccine that may prevent HIV has been given the green light by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to begin clinical trials in humans, according to Canadian researchers.


Team of surveillance experts for conducting BSS 2012 in Republic of Moldova

The UNAIDS Moldova in collaboration with the National Centre of Health Management, Monitoring and Evaluation of National Health Programmes intends to conduct HIV Sentinel surveillance in vulnerable groups vulnerable groups through a quantitative study with linked anonymous testing to HIV, VHC and VHB, to provide the strategic information on trends and current behaviors and risks needed to guide planning.

Recruitment of an IT specialist for developing of a distant learning course for youth based on the school

An IT specialist will be recruited for a long-term period with the overall goal to develop the course on internet, CD and mobile based. The IT specialist will be responsible for adjustment of the approved curricula to the open source software package Moodles, develop the design of the site and the security system of this project, after the implementation of the project to monitor the statistic situation of exploring this course by students.


The United Nations and the Government of the Republic of Moldova signed a new programme of cooperation

The United Nations and the Government of the Republic of Moldova signed today a US$ 217 million development and assistance programme for the years 2013-2017. The new programme of cooperation, “Towards Unity in Action: United Nations-Republic of Moldova Partnership Framework”, supports Moldova’s priorities and development challenges in three priority areas: (1) democratic governance, justice, equality and human rights; (2) human development and social inclusion; and (3) environment, climate change and disaster risk management.
