Course "HIV/AIDS and the World of Work: A prevention & social protection perspective"

We are pleased to inform you that the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO) in close collaboration with the ILO Programme on HIV/AIDS and the world of work (ILO AIDS) is organizing the third edition of its training activity “HIV/AIDS and the World of Work: A prevention & social protection perspective” in Turin, Italy, from 17-27 May, 2011.


18th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections
Boston, USA

Over 4000 researchers and doctors are expected to attend this year’s Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) in Boston. CROI is one of the major international HIV conferences. The topics covered by the conference are scientific – focusing on understanding, preventing and treating HIV and AIDS.


Course "Improving the Hospital Performance in Economic Crisis"

The third Regional Master Class Programme on Health Investments in Structural Funds for Central and Southern European will take place on March 22-24, 2011in Lisbon, Portugal

Since January 2010, IDOM has been running the project “Reducing HIV-related burden in the Republic of Moldova” under the Global Fund Round 8 Grant, which is focused on monitoring, protection and promotion of the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS from the perspective of eliminating discrimination and stigmatization.


Training "Mass media and Communication"

TB and HIV programmes must constantly use communications tools in order to spread health messages, increase partnerships, and promote health projects along with a host of other activities. To help health organisations face these challenges, The Union’s International Management Development Programme (IMDP) offers a special, one-week training on Mass Media and Communications developed especially for health professionals.


Central Asia MARPs size estimation workshop

A workshop is planned for the countries in the Central Asia Region from 25-28 April, 2011 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The workshop will provide the information, skills and guidance needed to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate HIV interventions targeting most-at-risk populations in these countries.


Training for representatives from NGOs

In the period February 23 – 25, 2011 Institute for Human Rights from Moldova (IDOM) is organizing a training for representatives from NGOs and other community groups of initiative in the field of human rights, HIV/AIDS, nondiscrimination and mechanisms of protection of rights of people who live with HIV/AIDS.


A new number of CNC TB/AIDS Magazine

Recently appeared the fourth number of the Magazine CNC TB/AIDS.

The magazine contains information about events and activities that took place in November – December 2010 and also in January 2011.


Conference: "HIV in Europe - Unity and Diversity"

In the period 25-27 May 2011 in Tallinn, Estonia, an European Conference will be held on HIV and AIDS, "HIV in Europe - Unity and Diversity". To the conference are invited participants fromthe European Union and the European Region of the World Health Organization.
