GARPR 2015

Under the terms of the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS, success in the AIDS response is measured by the achievement of concrete, time-bound targets. They call for careful monitoring of progress in implementing agreed-on commitments and require the United Nations Secretary-General to issue progress reports annually. These reports are designed to identify problems and constraints and recommend action to accelerate achievement of the targets. Starting with 2002, a series of core indicators were developed to measure progress in implementing the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS.

Guidelines for GARPR 2015 reporting process

These 2015 guidelines provide UN Member States with detailed information on how to collate the data and conduct the next round of global AIDS response progress reporting.

Instruction is designed for employees of public medical institutions and departments of Moldova and aims to inform health workers about the application of universal precautions with the purpose of reducing HIV/AIDS in medical institutions.

Instruction regarding the prevention of HIV infection in case of accidental exposure of medical workers

Instruction includes unified requirements on preventive measures of infection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), taking actions in case of professional contact, the indications for post-contact prophylaxis (PCP), tactics addressing PCP and antiretroviral (ARV) prophylaxis. Instruction is designed for managers and professionals from public medical institutions, private, centres for preventive medicine.

Standards of quality for youth-friendly health services in the Republic of Moldova

This document reflects the commitment and priorities of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova in accordance with the National Health Policy, National Reproductive Health Strategy, Youth Strategy, National Programme on Prevention of HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections, the Concept of Youth Friendly Health Services and other laws from health domain and youth development.

Organization of palliative care services for people with HIV/AIDS

In order to ensure Universal Access to prevention, treatment, care and support in HIV / AIDS and implementation of National Programme on Prevention and Control of HIV / AIDS for 2011-2015, in accordance with the commitments which are undertaken by the Republic Moldova - UNGASS Declaration, 2001 and the Declaration of Commitment on Universal Access, 2006 - under the provisions of section 8 of the Regulation on organization and functioning of the Ministry of Health, approved by Government Decision no. 777 of 27 November 2009, is approved the Regulation on the organization of palliative care services for people with HIV / AIDS.

New UNAIDS report shows AIDS epidemic has been halted and world beginning to reverse the spread of HIV. New HIV infections have fallen by nearly 20% in the last 10 years, AIDS-related deaths are down by nearly 20% in the last 10 years, and the total number of people living with HIV is stabilizing.
