The Republic of Moldova expressed interest in participating in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria’s (GFATM’s) Second Wave of National Strategy Applications (NSA), based on the decision of the National Coordination Council for HIV/AIDS/STI Prophylaxis and Control and TB Control Programmes. In order to apply for funding through an NSA, the Republic of Moldova first needs to conduct an assessment of its national HIV strategy. A Joint Assessment Mission by International Consultants and National Facilitators is expected to work in Moldova June 27 - July 10. The outcomes of the Mission will be compiled in a Report. The results of this assessment will then be used to inform requests for funding the national HIV strategy, including requests to the Global Fund using the national strategy application.
