Based on National Coordination Council on TB/AIDS Decision no. 3 as of December 23, 2008, and aiming at elaboration and finalization of the Republic of Moldova proposal to Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Round IX, were established the National Commissions of Experts in order to finalize the HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis component. The Commissions will analyze the proposals received and elaborate the draft proposal according to priorities and requirements of Global Fund. The National Coordination Council TB/AIDS invites all interested partners (state institutions, international and non-governmental agencies, mass media) to participate to grant proposal elaboration to Global Fund, Round 9 by presenting a concept of project. Deadline for submission of concepts is February 16, 2009.

Round VIII

In June 2008 the Republic of Moldova applied for the 8th Round of the GFATM. The Project proposal included 2 components: Alleviate HIV/AIDS-related impact in PLHA and Strengthening MDR-TB control and management in Moldova in the period of 2009–2014.
Total budget amounted to Euro 30,046,721.

Round VI

In July 2006 the Republic of Moldova applied for the 6th Round of the GFATM. The Project proposal included 2 components: Scaling up Access to Prevention, Treatment and Care under the National Program for Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS/STI 2006–2010 and Strengthening Tuberculosis Control in the Republic of Moldova for a 5 year period.
Total budget amounted to USD 27,917,344.

Round I

In March 2003, GFATM has signed a grant agreement with the Republic of Moldova. The Project – Support to the National Programme for Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS and STI’s and to the National Programme for Control of TB in Moldova – has supported the HIV/AIDS/STIs/TB efforts in the country.
Total budget amounted to USD 11,719,047.
