Decisions

  1. The report on control of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis aiming at extending the patients cohort in 2009 was presented and was decided that the Director and the Coordinator of the National Programme to Control Tuberculosis will:
    • undertake the necessary measures to ensure the extension of the patients cohort and submit proposal to remove the impediments on treatment adherence and reach a successful rate of treatment according to WHO requirements;
    • carry out jointly with experts of Technical Working Groups in area the evaluation of the National Programme to Prevent and Control Tuberculosis for 2006–2010, approved by the Government Decision no. 1409 as of December 30, 2005 and submit coordinated proposal to amend the mentioned programme taken into consideration the provisions of the Law no. 153 as of July 4, 2008 on "Control and Prophylaxis of Tuberculosis" (Official Gazette of Republic of Moldova, 2008, no. 143–144, art. 583) and recommendations of World Health Organization in area of Tuberculosis control.
  2. The proposal of Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child, to establish a multidisciplinary technical working group in order to ensure sustainability and increased social support offered to people living with/affected by HIV, was accepted.
  3. Ministry of Health, during two months, will finalize and submit to the Government for review the updated nominal membership of the National Coordination council on HIV/AIDS/STI Prophylaxis and Control and TB Control Programmes and Technical Working Groups, approved by the Government Decision no. 825 as of August 3, 2005.
  4. Adjustments to the budget of Global Fund Round 8 Proposal Grant (Tuberculosis component) according to decision of Global Fund Board Decision were accepted.
  5. Adjustments to the budget of Global Fund Round 8 Proposal Grant (HIV/AIDS component) according to decision of Global Fund Board Decision were accepted.
  6. The principal recipients (Unit for Coordination, Implementation and Monitoring of the Project and Centre PAS) jointly with the Council Secretariat will ensure, according to deadlines, the submission of all necessary documents to Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
  7. The procedure and the plan to elaborate and approve the proposal to Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Round 9 in area of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis were approved.
  8. The project in education area aiming at preventing HIV/AIDS in Republic of Moldova, presented by the Germany Agency for Technical Cooperation, is accepted. Ministry of Education and Youth, according to the National Programme to Prevent and Control HIV/AIDS/STI, approved by the Government Decision no. 948 as of September 05, 2005, will provide the necessary support for the implementation of the mentioned project.
